Alliance Duel

When I was a child, my grandmother always taught me to save my money. She grew up in the Great Depression, and I never saw her waste a single penny on anything as an adult. (I can only imagine what she would say if she saw my Last Z spending this month, lol).

What I did see was that Grandma held her money until a good opportunity arose for an investment.

When the banks advertised 10% on a CD (it was the 80’s), she would drive to the bank and set it up. But if there was no such opportunity, her wallet was like a vault that not even a Level 245 Destroyer could open up.

And if you want to score well in the duel, you have to be like my Grandma. Hold onto your resources, whatever they may be, until the right day and time. When you do it right, you’ll get get a hefty return on your investment that helps you grow.

Fortunately, you don’t have to wait months or years like my grandmother did. In Last Z, the wait is just one week.

Every Day

Resist the urge to spend your resources. Hold on to your wrenches and your fragments and your XP points and your speedups and your food and wood and everything else. Don’t even claim your radar events. You can level up any time, but only on certain days can you level up AND get rewards.

If you spend real money on this game, you can also gain extra points every day by buying any packs containing diamonds.

Tip: On off-days, have your lab(s) work on research that doesn’t require badges.

Note: You should send trucks every day (unless ordered not to by server leaders). But on Science Day, you get extra rewards for doing so.

Spend Exclusive Equipment Fragments to level up S1-4 hero weapons
Spend Power Cores

Friday

Holistic Growth

Tip: If you are maxxed out on troops, you can ask somebody in another alliance if you can kill some by attacking their headquarters. The proper etiquette is to replace powerful heroes from your formations with weak heroes so that you don’t damage your friend’s headquarters or kill their troops instead of your own.

Saturday

Bonus – Full Preparedness

Every Day at 08:00 to 11:59 Apocalypse Time and from 20:00 – 23:59.

Full Preparedness is a separate event, but in many ways it mirrors the Alliance Duel. Every four hours, you can spend certain resources to get rewards, grouped by category (heroes, science, construction, etc).

But twice per day, starting at 08:00 and 20:00, Full Prep and the Duel synchronize. That means for most of the same spend, you’ll get even more rewards. So it’s not just about day, but also the hour.
