Events, Strategy & Why Participation Matters, Part I

I think back to when I was a new player to last Z and didn’t know what to do or how to navigate the game. Over time learning from many great players and friends, I learnt that participation in these events is so important, from the day to day tasks, canyon clash, svs. These are all so important to maximise your potential! As a new player you may be nervous as I know I was to try new things, but when you start to give it a go you realise how great it is and how beneficial the rewards are and I never looked back. At the academy our goal is to ready you for these types of things and put you on the best path possible so you can enjoy and maximise your potential in the game. 

In last z, getting stronger isn’t just about upgrading your shelter, heroes and troops. A huge part of progressing efficiently is understanding the game’s events and knowing when to spend your resources.

Events such as Daily VS, Canyon Clash and SVS give players the opportunity to earn valuable rewards, increase their power and help their Academy succeed.

The key isn’t simply taking part — it’s taking part strategically.

Furylord

Why participate in furylord?

FuryLord is a daily world-boss event where everyone can contribute damage and earn personal rewards. You can attack up to 4 times per day, and your highest single attack is used for the damage ranking. 

Why you should always participate:

• Free daily rewards simply for attacking.
• Fuel rewards — completing all 4 attacks can return fuel cans, making it worthwhile even when fuel is limited. 
• Personal ranking rewards — higher single-hit damage can improve your daily ranking and rewards. 
• Personal achievement rewards — building up your damage can unlock additional rewards, including gear-related rewards. 
• Helps during SVS/State Ruler — Fury Lord damage can contribute to your state’s performance and invasion-rights points during the relevant competition. 
• Improves your account over time — the rewards provide useful progression materials without requiring you to spend resources elsewhere.

Final thoughts: 

Don’t skip Fury Lord. It takes minimal time and effort. Even if you can’t score highly, use your attacks and collect the free rewards.

Full preparedness: 

Full Preparedness is a great opportunity to grow your account while earning extra rewards.

• Shelter upgrades — earn points while improving your shelter.
• Research — develop technology and score points.
• Troop training — strengthen your army while gaining event points.
• Hero progression — improve your heroes and increase power.
• Valuable rewards — collect resources, speed-ups and progression materials.
• Power growth — everything contributes towards making your account stronger.
• Ranking rewards — higher participation can provide additional rewards.

By completing the different Full Preparedness rotations, you can earn:

The Preparedness Medals are particularly important because they unlock the daily medal reward chests. At 18 medals, the top medal chest can give 3 Prime Recruitment Tickets, 2 Versatile Orange Fragments, 10 Level 1 Random Component Boxes, 3 advanced tactical plugin modules and 200 Diamonds. 

Daily VS — Turn Your Progress Into Rewards

Daily VS (also known as “Alliance Duel”) is one of the best ways to turn things you’re already doing in the game into extra rewards.

Each day focuses on different activities, meaning good players will save resources and speed-ups for the correct day rather than spending everything immediately.

The six main VS days are:

• Mod Vehicle Boost
• Shelter Upgrade
• Age of Science
• Hero Progression
• Holistic Growth
• Enemy Buster Day

Understanding what each day rewards can make a huge difference to your final score.

Day 1 — Mod Vehicle Boost

Mod Vehicle Boost is all about improving your vehicles and using your vehicle-related resources efficiently.

Rather than upgrading randomly throughout the week, save your vehicle materials and focus your upgrades during the appropriate VS day.

Key Strategy

• Save vehicle upgrade materials for Mod Vehicle Boost.
• Prioritise your strongest and most useful vehicles.
• Take advantage of any available vehicle events or bonuses.
• Avoid wasting resources on upgrades that provide little benefit.
• Plan your upgrades around the VS scoring window.

The aim is simple: get stronger while earning VS points at the same time.

Day 2 — Shelter Upgrade

Shelter Upgrade is one of the biggest opportunities to score VS points through construction.

Key Strategy
Save construction speed-ups for construction upgrades.

Try to plan your building upgrades so that they finish during the VS scoring period.

You can also:

• Save unfinished buildings for future upgrades.
• Start longer construction projects when appropriate.
• Use construction speed-ups on the VS day.
• Sync upgrades with Full Preparedness whenever possible.
• Avoid burning large amounts of construction speed-ups outside the scoring period.

Good planning can turn a normal shelter upgrade into a huge VS score.

Day 3 — Age of Science

Age of Science is all about research.

This is another day where saving resources throughout the week can give you a major advantage.

Key Strategy

• Use research speed-ups ONLY on Wednesday.
• Use badges ONLY on Wednesday.
• Save research projects for the VS scoring period.
• Complete 4 orange intercity trades for approximately 1.2 million points.
• Plan larger research upgrades around the event.

Research is something every player needs to do eventually, so there is little reason not to maximise the points you receive for it.

 Day 4 — Hero Progression

Hero Progression is your opportunity to turn hero development into a huge number of VS points.

What Gives Points?

• Hero fragments — any colour
• Exclusive equipment fragments — orange only
• Hero recruitment tickets
• Power cores
• Equipment upgrades
• Orange, purple and blue skill books

Key Strategy
Focus on orange gear upgrades first.

Save your hero resources throughout the week and spend them during Hero Progression.

For gathering heroes, consider upgrading blue and purple heroes ONLY on Thursday, particularly when you are targeting their gathering-speed skills.

The biggest mistake is using valuable hero resources randomly throughout the week and then having nothing left when Hero Progression arrives.

Day 5 — Holistic Growth

Holistic Growth is one of the easiest VS days to score points because it covers a wide range of activities.

What Gives Points?

• Construction speed-ups
• Research speed-ups
• Training speed-ups
• Training, assembling and promoting units
• Radar tasks

Key Strategy

Main focus: Training troops.

• Use training speed-ups ONLY on Friday.
• Save radar tasks from previous days.
• Save speed-ups for the event.
• Plan troop training so that large batches finish during the scoring period.
• Combine troop training with other available bonuses.

The more preparation you do beforehand, the easier it becomes to produce a big score.

Day 6 — Enemy Buster Day

Enemy Buster Day changes the focus from development to fighting.

This is the day to use your troops and take advantage of opportunities to earn points from enemy activity.

Points Can Come From:

• Your units getting killed in battle
• Orange bounty missions
• Orange intercity trades

Key Strategy

• Ask enemies for tank vs tank battles where appropriate.
• Avoid using too many bounty refresh tickets.
• Save bounty refresh tickets for Tuesday.
• Plunder as many enemies as possible.
• Make sure your attacks are worthwhile and contribute towards the VS score.

The goal isn’t simply to fight for the sake of fighting — it’s to turn your fighting activity into useful VS points.

Canyon Clash

Canyon Clash is one of the most important Academy events because success depends on teamwork, organisation and communication rather than just individual power.

The battle is a points-based fight between two Alliances. Points come from capturing and holding buildings, defeating the Canyon Captain, defeating enemy units and successfully delivering Energy Cells. 

There are 4 squads. (ABCD) and each one of these squad have particular roles and objectives which are set by the canyon clash commander. Learnt and executed properly it proves very successful. 

Golden Rule

Stay with your squad, follow the Commander’s instructions and communicate.

Canyon Clash is won through teamwork, coordination and timing — not individual power alone.

Canyon Clash Rewards

One of the biggest reasons to participate in Canyon Clash is the amount of valuable rewards available.

Rewards are divided into Academy rewards, personal participation rewards and Personal Point rewards. 

Winning Academy Rewards
All participating Academy members receive:

• 1 × Orange Decoration Chest
• 300 × Orange Skill Books
• 3 × 100 Diamonds
• 10 × 1-hour Construction Speed-ups
• 5 × Wood Level Chests
• 5 × Food Level Chests

Losing Academy Rewards
Even if your Academy loses, participating members still receive:

• 1 × Purple Decoration Chest
• 150 × Orange Skill Books
• 2 × 100 Diamonds
• 5 × 1-hour Construction Speed-ups
• 5 × Wood Level Chests
• 5 × Food Level Chests

Personal Participation Rewards
Winning-side participants can also receive:

• 1 × Level 4 Random Module Chest
• 300 × Orange Skill Books
• 3 × 100 Diamonds
• 6 × 1-hour Construction Speed-ups
• 5 × Wood Level Chests
• 5 × Food Level Chests

Losing-side participants receive a lower-tier personal reward, including a Level 3 Random Module Chest, 150 Orange Skill Books, 2 × 100 Diamonds, 3 × 1-hour Construction Speed-ups and the same Wood and Food chest allocation. 

Personal Point Rewards
The winning side can earn additional rewards based on the number of Personal Points achieved during the battle which can as much as 15k valor medals which are a very important resource to progress.

SVS — Server Versus Server

SVS is one of the biggest events in Last Z: Survival Shooter.

Unlike Daily VS, where you’re mainly competing against other players within the normal VS structure, SVS puts your entire server against another server.

That means every player’s contribution matters.

Whether you’re one of the strongest players on the server or a developing player, there are opportunities to contribute.

• A chance to prove your server is stronger
• The important thing to remember is that every point matters.
